Not all vinyl is created equal. The strength and durability of vinyl is determined by physical factors like wall thickness and extrusion process, as well as chemical characteristics like UV stabilizers and impact modifiers. Each manufacturer has a slightly different recipe with various advantages and disadvantages. Lower quality vinyl is more susceptible to cracking, sagging, and discoloration.
Vinyl gates built without an internal metal frame typically lose their shape within a few years.
